Aspirin Scrub

When I was in high school, my mom was one of those mothers that got asked if she was a sister if she ever came to the school for anything. She looks young because her skin looks young. She has a few DIY tips that she has shared with me. This is one of them.

Every month or so, she will do an aspirin scrub. I have seen people making masks with honey, but this is a little different. All you do is:

  • Crush up 2-4 tablets from a Bottled Aspirin 1000/bottle and mix it with some warm water to make a scrub.
  • Apply it to the face using small circular movements concentrating on rough areas including acne. I don’t recommend getting it on the eyelids.
  • Continue this for 2-5 minutes. (This mimics in home microdermabrasion and a mild chemical peel because aspirin is derived from the same source as salicylic acid.)
  • Rinse well with cold water

This will leave your skin so shiny and smooth and even a little tighter too! I LOVE THIS SCRUB!!!

  Meet my new best friend.

I am 26 and always looking for new things to try for my skin, especially to avoid signs of aging. Anyway, I tried the aspirin scrub and it made my face feel so soft! I simply washed my face before, worked the scrub into my skin using circular motions and rinsed. Felt very refreshing! Thanks for sharing!!

I just want to be sure… You use two whole bottles of 1,000 Count aspirin? Thank you, can’t wait to try it 🙂

Oh no! Thanks for catching that! My link was off. You just use 2-4 tablets. I will fix that!
